Perched atop a boulder in the Dolly Sods Wilderness in West Virginia, I captured this foggy scene when the rising sun briefly broke through the clouds. Here's some information about my upcoming workshop in West Virginia, then I'll share how I processed the image.

Springtime in West Virginia Workshop May 31 - June 2, 2013 Springtime in the mountains of West Virginia brings us roaring waterfalls and the bright green of fresh foliage. During this weekend workshop we’ll explore waterfalls and cascades in the Canaan Valley area. Other photo opportunities include scenic views from Dolly Sods and overlooks of the Blackwater Canyon. The workshop also includes photo presentations, software demos and critiques. West Virginia workshop info

All that was left was a little retouching, cropping and sharpening and we're done. Remember that with all image processing there is more than one way to do the same thing. The tools available to you will depend on the software you're using. You can take the concepts I used here and apply them to the tools and skills you have with your image processing software.
