Morocco: Rich with Color and Culture

Last November I traveled to Morocco to lead a photo tour. It was a wonderful experience seeing beautiful landscapes, colorful cities, and friendly people. Here are some photos from the trip.

Dusk settles over the market at Djemaa El-Fna Square in Marrakech. During the day the square is filled with performers, including snake charmers, musicians, and dancers.

Reflections on the polished floor of the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco.

During visit to a rug shop we were able to see rugs being woven. Shooting through the rug offered a unique perspective.

A beautiful morning walking among the dunes of the Sahara Desert. The contrast of the early morning light made for great shadows to work with.

Hand-painting these bowls is an intricate, painstaking process. The finished bowls are beautiful.

Chefchaouen, a city whose buildings are painted shades of blue, has a unique glow as dusk settles in.
