Photoshop Skills for Photographers

 
 

Photoshop has an incredible set of features, but as photographers we don't need to know how to do everything. So what should you use and how do you use it? This class focuses on the features of Photoshop that are useful for photographers. You'll learn skills that enable will you to use Photoshop confidently and effectively.

Topics include:

  • Layers, Adjustment Layers and Masks
  • Brushes (effectively using size, hardness, opacity and flow settings)
  • Applying adjustments selectively
  • Adjusting saturation, vibrance and contrast
  • Cloning and Healing
  • Correcting color casts
  • Levels and Curves
  • Blending two exposures of the same image
  • Creating a Graduated Neutral Density filter effect
  • Creating panoramas
  • Correcting distortion
  • Using Actions to save time

    ...and more

You'll also learn plenty of tips and tricks to save you time and make using Photoshop easier. Even if you find Photoshop complicated this class is designed to take away the mystery and make it easy to understand.

Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop with Photoshop installed so you can practice while the techniques are being demonstrated. Even if you don't have a laptop, much can be gained by attending the class and observing the features and how the tools are used.

After the class all attendees will be sent a link to download a color pdf handout with more than 150 pages of tips, tricks and techniques.

  • More than seven days before: Receive a full refund or apply the payment towards a future event.

  • Seven days or less before: The payment may only be applied to a future event.

  • If the event is full when the cancellation is made, the refund or transfer of payment to a future event (per timeline above) is dependent on filling the empty space. If the space is not filled the payment cannot be refunded or transferred to another event.
