The Tidal Basin in the early morning light is a special place and surrounded with Cherry Blossoms even more so. Spend the morning capturing the photos to prove it.
We'll begin photographing the Jefferson against the royal blue sky of civil twilight and framed with cherry blossoms. From there we’ll work our way around the Tidal Basin, capturing the Jefferson Memorial and the Washington Monument from many vantage points all framed by the cherry blossoms in the beautiful early morning light.
At each point along the way, we'll cover exposure settings, composition considerations and tips for dynamic photos.
All skill levels welcome (but participants should have some familiarity with their camera and the settings). This class will be small enough to work with each person at the level they're at.
For best results, bring a DSLR camera with lenses in the range from 18mm to 200mm and a circular polarizing filter. Tripods are recommended for this early morning safari as we'll begin shooting in very low light.
